A Woodbridge business has won national recognition for “forging ahead in the toughest of times”.

Longbon & Company was “Highly Commended” for Best Investment Adviser at the Money Marketing Awards 2020 after going the extra mile for clients, especially through the coronavirus pandemic.

Andrew Longbon, who has worked in the financial services industry for almost four decades said: “We are extremely proud of the fact that not only were we shortlisted, but that we were highly commended by the judges in a category which consisted of large market leading firms that manage in excess of several billion pounds.”

Justin Cash, Editor of Money Marketing said: “All finalists deserved recognition for forging ahead through the toughest of times.

“One of the shortlisted firms to have particularly caught the judges’ eye was Longbon & Company, which demonstrated that being small does not stop you from being mighty.

“The company clearly demonstrated it loves doing what it does and goes the extra mile for its clients.”

The judging process saw adviser submissions scored by Money Marketing’s 60 expert judges.

There were 13 adviser categories and 52 firms shortlisted.

Andrew Longbon started his City career in the 1980’s working for various investment companies; since 1990 he has been advising private clients and managing investment portfolios within private banking and stockbroking firms, wherein he held senior positions.

By bringing this experience and skill set together, and as a result of moving the family home out of London to Suffolk, Longbon & Company was launched in 2009.

Longbon & Company is a boutique financial services company, advising and managing in excess of £60 million of private client investments.

Each client has a bespoke portfolio which is tuned according to objectives, risk and circumstances.

“Spending a lot of time with my clients, taking the trouble to understand precisely what is expected from both parties and nurturing both the relationship and portfolio is the key to Longbon and Company’s success,” Mr Longbon said. “It is with this ethos that Longbon & Company has built solid, long term relationships with clients.”
