Local vets allow behind the scenes access to celebrate third birthday

An East Suffolk independent veterinary practice is allowing the public access all areas and the opportunity to test its state-of-the-art equipment as part of its first-ever open day to celebrate its third birthday.

Often an area shrouded in mystery, The Woodbridge Vets based in Melton, will open its complete premises up to the public to showcase the practice beyond reception and their consultation rooms. This will include their imaging and surgical suites, with cutting-edge technology usually found in referral centres, such as ultrasound and CT scanners, and the official opening of their newly completed third extension to the building.

The open day, taking place on Saturday 31st May from 12pm until 4pm will also grant willing volunteers the opportunity to try out their equipment and undertake a simulated keyhole surgery.

‘Founded on ideals, not comprises’

Living up to their high standards and motto of being ‘Founded on ideals, not comprises’, the event aims to shine a light on the standard of service clients new and old can expect from The Woodbridge Vets, with opportunities to chat with a range of the team and view the different areas pets will visit during surgeries including their kennel areas, putting pet owners’ minds at rest that they are in the best hands.

What’s more, nibbles and refreshments will be available, as well as raffle to win a cat or dog hamper.

The Woodbridge Vets, founded by veterinary surgeons and practice owners Laurie Barrow and Kyle Eadie, opened its doors April 2022. Within two months, they had accumulated over 700 registered clients. To date, they now look after 3,885 pets and their premises have grown to triple the size of their original space.

They put this down to their traditional ‘small practice values’ and modern ‘everything else’.

‘A practice based on values’

Commenting on their journey since founding The Woodbridge Vets, Dr Kyle Eadie, Veterinary Surgeon and Practice Owner, said: “We had great ambitions to build a practice based on values that put the care of our clients and their animals at the heart of what we do.

“It’s so rewarding to not only see the vision of creating a high-quality practice become reality, but also to have gained the unwavering support from so many clients along the way.

”The amount of growth has been staggering and greater than we expected.

“It is testament to our team and clients that on our third birthday, we are in a fortunate position to be opening the third extension to our practice.

“In the three years since opening we have helped a considerable amount of pets and pet owners, and as we toast to a successful beginning of our journey, we look forward to providing the very best care to many more pets in the future.”

The Woodbridge Vets are requesting that those wishing to attend their open day register their interest by completing a form on their website. This can be found by visiting The Woodbridge Vets.
