Law firm promotes dozens of colleagues in 260th year anniversary celebration

Ellisons Solicitors is celebrating after it promoted more than 25 colleagues.

One of the East of England’s oldest law firms is celebrating after it promoted more than 25 colleagues. 

Ellisons Solicitors continued to celebrate its 260th year by also presenting Long Service Awards to several team members and recognising the outstanding achievements of others who went above and beyond for clients.

Lee Pearce, Partner, Legal Executive & Head of Dispute Resolution, who has been at the firm for 30 years, and Denise Warren, Legal Secretary, who has been at the firm for 25 years, both received long service awards.

New Legal Directors

Among the promotions were three new Legal Directors, Charlene Boyaram, Carly Callaghan and Bernice Spurgeon, and three new Partners, Christopher Harvey, Rachel Dawson and Bethan Williams.

Ellisons Solicitors has grown exponentially over the last year, welcoming more than 50 new colleagues to the firm across its offices in Colchester, Chelmsford, Ipswich, Frinton-on-Sea and Bury St Edmunds – a jump of 20%.

The firm is now focusing on continuing its offering for 2024 and beyond and has introduced a range of new benefits for colleagues under its ‘grow your own’ strategy, including the introduction of the Apprenticeship Academy, and increased access to training programmes across different sectors of the business.
