A production of Aladdin in Mildenhall is being sponsored by homebuilder Barratt Homes.
The Bunbury Players Amateur Dramatics Group’s panto runs from Wednesday to Saturday this week at the Jubilee Centre in Mildenhall.
Cash needed for putting on productions is increasing every year for the Bunbury Players, and Barratt Homes stepped in to help fund the panto for the local community.
Darren Mather, chairman of the Bunbury Players, said: “We are thrilled to have Barratt Homes supporting us for Aladdin. It is so expensive to put on a community show nowadays, and this really helps to keep theatre alive in our local area.”
Alongside the Aladdin characters, those in attendance will be invited to enjoy the slapstick comedy of the renowned panto favourites of Widow Twankey and Wishee Washee.
Annette Hurst, sales director at Barratt Homes Eastern Counties, said: “We’re delighted to support The Bunbury Players Amateur Dramatics Group by sponsoring their production of Aladdin.
“As a leading developer, we endeavour to help charities and community groups where we can and we wish the cast members all the best for their upcoming performances.”
The cast members assembled recently at the developer’s Hunter’s Chase development in Red Lodge to meet with sales advisers, Helen and Lizzie, for a series of Aladdin-themed antics in the show homes.
