Suffolk-based inventor and entrepreneur, Andrew Hounsfield of Hounsfield Boilers, is launching a revolutionary range of cost-effective, oil-fired, Tuscan wall-mounted boilers.
Hounsfield Boilers products are designed and manufactured at their base in Needham Market, which was set up in 2008 by Andrew after 30 years in the boiler industry.
His boilers have become popular with plumbers and installers thanks to their ingenious design and durability, many of his boilers have found homes in some of the region’s most prestigious properties.
Andrew describes his inspiration on why he decided to invent the Hounsfield Boiler. He said: “I had worked for some of the biggest UK boiler companies, but I had become frustrated – manufacturers had become too price-focused, which had driven down the quality of the boilers on offer.
“I decided to put the customer first and invent a boiler which would minimise the lifetime running costs for the homeowner and create a practical design that’s easy to install and service for the installer, whilst still delivering value for money.
“With my engineering background, I was able to design an oil-fired boiler that satisfied these objectives and also develop a high-performance boiler with a host of features not found on any other in the marketplace.”

Andrew added: “Our new range of Hounsfield wall-mounted boilers have retained all of these key features, with the addition of tough weatherproof casing for the external model and compact size.
