Ipswich-based event company, Boho & Bubbles, is proving to be a sparkling success after launching just months ago.
The company was formed by four friends after national lockdowns led to wedding postponements and milestone celebrations being missed. While looking for an alternative option for a bridal shower, the women hatched a plan to bring the party home without compromising on the experience.
The foursome joined forces to purchase a garden igloo and a collection of boho-inspired furnishings and decor to bring their vision to life. After receiving rave reviews from the bridal shower party they decided to bring their party-styling passion to the public, by giving the everyday garden gathering a “glow up”.
Within hours of launching their igloo hire service on social platforms, they received their first booking and they quickly became booked out for summer.
Despite all working in demanding full-time jobs in teaching, insurance, and marketing, the women hire out their party-planning services at weekends. Due to demand, they have now branched out to offer luxe picnic packages and event styling services off the back of some last-minute wedding styling requests from brides.
Until recently, all their bookings were through Instagram and Facebook. The team has now launched their new website, hoping it will reach a wider audience across the rest of East Anglia.
Co-founder, Caz Blaxcell, comments: “After leaving a career in interior design, I’ve always felt like my creative skills were underutilised. After party planning for many years with Flo, Lucy, and Becky for all of our friends’ celebratory events, we’d become known as the “planning committee” and felt it was time to put our words into action and start experimenting with our luxury event styling ideas.”
Co-founder, Lucy Crush adds: “We’d seen a few igloos online in London but nothing local, and thought it would be a good way to dip our toe into the event industry and see how we faired. It’s certainly been a challenge juggling working full-time and ‘boho-ing’ at the weekends, but party planning is something that we all have a passion for. We’re so excited to be able to do something we love to create memories for other people.”
