A leading tourism organisation, The Suffolk Coast, has launched a new initiative to support all tourism businesses in East Suffolk.

The Suffolk Coast, which offers local tourism and hospitality businesses expert advice and promotional opportunities, is launching a free membership tier. The free membership has been made possible thanks to the Sizewell C Tourism Fund. Businesses from Felixstowe to Lowestoft and Beccles to Woodbridge are being encouraged to sign up to gain free listings on their website.

The Suffolk Coast’s website receives over 1 million users a year, making it one of the region’s most popular visitor websites. Tourism remains one of East Suffolk’s most valuable industries, contributing millions to the local economy and sustaining thousands of jobs. But rising costs, changing visitor habits and intensifying competition are placing pressure on many small and independent businesses. To help, The Suffolk Coast is now able to offer businesses of all sizes the chance to benefit from their expert support, resources and promotional opportunities.

Strengthen Suffolk’s tourism

Julian Evans, Director, The Suffolk Coast, explains: “We know how challenging it is for local businesses right now. Our new free membership ensures that every business – big or small – can benefit from being part of a promotional organisation. By working together, we can strengthen Suffolk’s tourism offering and help more visitors discover what makes this coastline truly special.”

To celebrate the launch, The Suffolk Coast is hosting a programme of free networking events ‘Suffolk Coast Socials’. The events will give local businesses the chance to meet the team, learn more about the new membership options and connect with others in the sector.
