East Anglian Marketing Awards celebrates local talent

East Anglia’s marketing community came together to celebrate the very best of the region’s marketing talent, creativity and achievement at the inaugural East Anglian Marketing Awards (EAMAs).

Held at Epic Studios, the first-ever EAMAs brought together marketers, agencies, freelancers, businesses and organisations from across Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and the wider East Anglian region to recognise the people and work putting the region firmly on the marketing map.

The not-for-profit awards were created to amplify the work and talent coming from East Anglia, providing a platform to celebrate the people, teams and businesses delivering brilliant marketing across the region.

Unlike traditional commercial awards programmes, the EAMAs exist with the sole purpose of championing the region’s marketing community, raising its profile and giving local talent the recognition it deserves.

The awards shine a light on the breadth and quality of marketing coming out of East Anglia – from ambitious creative agencies and innovative campaigns to talented individuals, in-house teams and marketers making a difference in their communities.

For organiser Grace Appleby, the awards are about more than celebrating individual winners.

“I set up the East Anglian Marketing Awards because I genuinely believe we have an extraordinary amount of talent, creativity and ambition right here in our region – but it can be far too easy to overlook it. As a not-for-profit organisation, everything we do is about championing that talent, creating opportunities and shining a light on the brilliant work happening here.

“There’s still this perception that if you want to do brilliant marketing, you need to be in London, working for a huge agency or a household-name brand. I wanted the EAMAs to challenge that idea. Our first awards have completely reinforced why this needed to exist.

“The standard of work, the talent of the people shortlisted and the energy within the community has been incredible. We have agencies here doing genuinely world-class work, ambitious in-house teams, brilliant freelancers and marketers who are pushing boundaries every day.

“I’m incredibly proud of every winner, finalist and entrant, and hugely grateful to everyone who has supported the awards in their first year. This is just the beginning – and I hope the EAMAs become a platform that helps East Anglia’s marketing community get the recognition it deserves, both within the region and far beyond it.”

The awards also highlighted the strength of East Anglia’s wider marketing ecosystem, with entries spanning agencies, universities, charities, local businesses, national and international brands and independent marketers.

The East Anglian Marketing Awards will return in 2027, with nominations opening on 3 March 2027.
