The DPO Centre is proud to be making waves at this year’s Dragon Boat Race, as they take to the water in support of Brave Futures — a vital charity that provides specialist support to children and young people affected by sexual abuse across Suffolk and Norfolk.
On 7 June 2025, this action-packed annual event returns to the Ipswich Waterfront for its sixth year, bringing together up to 40 businesses and local organisations for a day of high-energy paddling, friendly competition, and incredible community spirit.
They’re fielding not one but two mighty teams: Blazing Paddles and Privacy Pirates. Both are powered by their unstoppable #ONETEAM spirit and a shared determination to make a difference.
But behind the fun and fanfare lies a powerful mission. Every stroke they paddle and every pound they raise will help Brave Futures continue delivering life-changing therapy and support for survivors of sexual abuse. Their services offer a safe space where children and young people can rebuild confidence, develop coping strategies, and take the brave step from victim to survivor.
