Family-run freight and logistics company Anglia Freight has introduced a new professional driver programme to develop and reward its drivers.

Called ProDriver, the initiative aims to encourage exceptional driving standards for Anglia Freight, which is enjoying its best ever volumes.

HR director Abby Holden explained: “Anglia Freight has always been committed to training and developing our team of drivers, including those who are new to the sector.

“We’re excited to launch the ProDriver scheme, which will provide a robust and supportive structure for our driving team to continue their professional development throughout their driving careers.

“Our objective is to be an excellent employer for all our staff, especially our all-important drivers, and the ProDriver scheme rewards drivers with an enhanced hourly rate of pay, once performance and safety requirements have been achieved each month.”

The business currently employs around 60 drivers from its base at Eye, and is looking to take on more drivers from Suffolk and Norfolk. Visit the Anglia Freight website for more information.

Drivers on the ProDriver scheme will undergo monthly training on the related laws, regulations and driving safety.
