Burnett Barker Solicitors welcomes new residential conveyancing solicitor

Bury St Edmunds based Burnett Barker Solicitors continues to grow the conveyancing part of its business with the appointment of Residential Conveyancing Solicitor Cher Coles.

Cher, who joins from Adept Property Lawyers in Haverhill, is the third appointment to the conveyancing team in the last six months.

Cher’s focus is on helping clients purchase new properties, an area she has a lot of experience in.  Having previously worked for The New Homes Group in Colchester, where she was responsible for progressing house sales on behalf of developers, she knows how to keep the new build conveyancing process moving.

“As a number of the developers building new homes in the area recommend us to their buyers, we’re delighted to welcome Cher to the team, where she will work alongside Angela Dauny as we continue to grow this dedicated and specialised area of legal work. I have worked opposite Cher on several transactions, so I know she is an excellent solicitor and in the short time that she has been with us, I have heard very positive feedback from clients.”

Cher, who had always worked in property before going on to qualify as a conveyancing solicitor in 2017, said:

“Although I will mainly be advising clients on new build purchases, I will also act on a wide range of conveyancing matters. Joining Burnett Barker Solicitors is a great opportunity, it’s a great atmosphere and everyone is so focused on providing a fantastic service to clients, I already feel at home in the team.”

Cher is the second residential conveyancing solicitor to join the team in the past few months after Natasha Price started at the beginning of the year and brought with her over 20 years’ experience of helping clients with their property work across the South East.

The residential property team now consists of six specialist qualified lawyers and five assistants (with one more to join soon) all of whom also have significant experience in property work.

Burnett Barker Solicitors’ Chief Executive, Daryl Griffiths, observed that:

“The growth of our property team over the past few months is no accident and cements our reputation as a great place to work, which in turn means that our clients, whether property or any of the other areas we help with, are looked after by some of the best specialist lawyers around.”
