External shading experts, Caribbean Blinds, have won the title of ‘Best Garden Buy’ for one of their best-selling products, the Outdoor Living Pod™, in the Real Homes Awards 2020.
Competing against not just one but three different products from online furniture and homeware giant, Wayfair, the outdoor shading manufacturer’s luxury pergola came up trumps, with the Caribbean Blinds Outdoor Living Pod™ voted the most superior product in the category.
The Real Homes Awards, which attracts hundreds of entries, aim to find and name the very best home products across every category, unveiling the most inspiring ideas and reviewing everything the consumer might need to finish their home.
By making the initial shortlist, the Real Homes expert judging panel deemed the unique Outdoor Living Pod™ to display some of the highest ratings across multiple areas including durability, aesthetic appeal and value for money.
The fate of Caribbean Blinds was then left in the hands of the public who were responsible for choosing their favourites within each category. After sharing the voting process with their customers, the Sudbury based manufacturer successfully drummed up a huge amount of support and won the most public votes as a result.

2020 has been a successful year for Caribbean Blinds, with the shading specialists launching their dedicated ‘Holiday at Home’ campaign, designed to encourage consumers to create their very own ‘slice of paradise’ in their garden.
The family-run firm celebrated four consecutive record-breaking months (May through August 2020) with July sales almost doubling compared to 2019. In addition to this, Caribbean Blinds took home the Family Business of the Year ‘People’s Choice Award’ in June this year.
