A Sudbury manufacturer of external shading products had a double win at the Family Business of the Year Awards 2021, taking home the East and East Anglia Business of the Year and Homes and Gardens Business of the Year awards in a virtual ceremony.
The Family Business of the Year Awards run by Family Business United celebrates the very best of British family firms, of which there are more than 6 million, and the contribution that these firms make as the backbone of the UK economy.
The 2021 awards ceremony took place virtually on Thursday 24th June 2021, and the double win for Caribbean Blinds cements this dynamic family business as one of the best and validates their mantra of ‘providing the very best product at the very best price with the very best service.’

Specialists in the manufacture and supply of outdoor shading systems including stylish patio awnings, external blinds and its award-winning louvred roof canopy branded the Outdoor Living Pod™, Caribbean Blinds, founded in 1987 remains family-run following a structured buy-out by their sons, Stuart and Brad Dantzic in January 2017.
Since this time, the entrepreneurial duo has implemented a strategic development plan that has driven growth by 35% year-on-year and has an ambitious strategy to quadruple the size of the company over the next 5 years and is currently on track to do so.
Employing 24 staff at its headquarters in Sudbury, Suffolk, the Caribbean Blinds has ambitious objectives for continued growth, with new company developments to be announced in the coming weeks.
