The external shading experts have been shortlisted for not just one, but two accolades at the Suffolk Business Awards 2020 and a third at the 2020 Build It Awards.

Company Director, Brad Dantzic, is up for the ‘Young Business Person’ award and is hoping to follow in the footsteps of his brother, Stuart Dantzic (also a Director at Caribbean Blinds) who took home the title last year. The team is also keeping its fingers crossed as the business has been shortlisted for the ‘Small and Medium Business’ title at the same event.

Brad Dantzic commented: “It’s an honour to have made it to the finals for the ‘Young Business Person’ award. I love what I do, so to be selected for this accolade is the icing on the cake. The company wouldn’t be where it is now without the support of my amazing team – many of whom have been at Caribbean Blinds for a number of years. Hard work combined with a shared vision has enabled us to grow significantly over the last few years and I couldn’t be prouder.”

Open to all types and sizes of businesses across the region, the Suffolk Business Awards recognise those that have not only survived but thrived during such an uncertain time.

In addition to this, one of Caribbean Blinds’ most popular product lines – the Antiguan External Blind – has been shortlisted for the ‘Innovation in Insulation’ award at the 2020 Build It Awards.

The Build It Awards (in association with BuildStore) are the most sought-after accolade within the self-build industry. They recognise excellence across the board in self-build products, services, suppliers and projects.

Stuart Dantzic, Managing Director at Caribbean Blinds added: “On behalf of everyone at Caribbean Blinds, we are thrilled to be finalists in all three of these awards. Our team works tirelessly to deliver exceptional quality shading systems, and whether specifying, making or installing, they each play such a vital role in the success of the company, so to make it to this stage is great recognition of the amazing work they do every day.”

Undeterred by the events of 2020, Caribbean Blinds adapted to the current circumstances and successfully launched its dedicated ‘Holiday at Home’ campaign, designed to encourage consumers to create their very own ‘slice of paradise’ in their garden. In addition to this, the family run firm recently won ‘Best Garden Buy’ for its best-selling Outdoor Living Pod™ at the Real Homes Awards 2020, putting online homeware giant Wayfair in the shade.

The winners of both the Suffolk Business Awards and The Build It Awards will be announced during two special ceremonies on the 17th and 27th November respectively.
