Ipswich-based software development agency SimpleClick has partnered with Ipswich Housing Action Group (ihAg) to redevelop the charity’s website. The new website went live at the beginning of this year.
SimpleClick worked with Ipswich charity ihAg, which supports those at risk of homelessness, to relaunch their website. Using their bespoke content management system Doddle to redesign the content, SimpleClick delivered ihAg’s brief to create a new website with better usability.
ihAg is more than a homeless charity. The Group helps people by providing advice and supported housing, signposting them to other support organisations or providing someone to talk to. Founded in 1976, ihAg now helps over 3,000 people a year across Ipswich. Their focus is on prevention of homelessness in the first instance through facilities including their Money Advice Service, which offers impartial and practical financial advice.
ihAg’s Chief Executive Officer, Jools Ramsey, came on board in November 2019. Redeveloping the charity’s website was part of her new strategy. With the project put on hold in early 2020 due to covid-19, it was revisited later in the year and the new site was ready to go live at the start of January.
Richard Jennis, Director of SimpleClick, said: “We are delighted to be working with ihAg, a crucial charity that is helping local people get the housing support they need. We know how important it is for their website to fully reflect the work they are carrying out, as well as making it quick and simple for users to locate the information they need.
“Contributing to our local community is an important value at SimpleClick, which is why we launched our Do Good Networking events in 2019 to encourage businesspeople to support those in need. Therefore, it’s been great to partner with ihAg – a charity doing vital work to address the issue of homelessness in Ipswich.”
Jools Ramsey, CEO of ihAg, said: “We were keen to work with a local software developer on the relaunch of our website. Our old website wasn’t functioning as it needed to and required an overhaul. Catherine Bowyer of Sasa Marketing managed the redevelopment on our behalf, as well as preparing all the content for the new website. We are hugely grateful for the enormous amount of work she put in to the project. Throughout the process we consulted with SimpleClick on the best way to approach the design and content of ihAg’s new site. I’m thankful for their expert guidance and am over the moon with our redesigned and improved website.
“The work ihAg undertakes is to support people and create positive change in their lives. As a small charity, we are incredibly grateful to everyone who donates towards our work. Partnerships with local firms such as SimpleClick are important to support our work; we would like to partner with more local individuals and organisations in order to expand our reach. These partnerships provide funding that goes directly back into the Ipswich community via the work of the charity.”
