Growing Suffolk PR agency adds news editor to team

Lauren Everitt of Prominent PR

Expanding Suffolk agency Prominent PR has welcomed its 11th team member, former news editor Lauren Everitt.

Lauren worked for three local newspapers over 11 years, including the EADT and Ipswich Star, and knows better than most what it takes to get a story noticed.

She joins as a PR executive at Prominent’s Felixstowe office, which also recently welcomed two apprentices, Chelsea Debnam and Jade Ling.

Managing director Helen Rudd said: “We’re thrilled to be able to welcome Lauren to the team. Our team has grown rapidly and thanks to a number of new client wins recently, we were in need of extra content support, which Lauren gives us in abundance, both in terms of copywriting and digital PR.

“I am sure she will be a perfect fit for the team and offer our clients the consistent high-quality support for which we are known.”

Lauren originally started at the Bracknell News before moving to the Dorking and Leatherhead Advertiser. She moved to Suffolk and our local press in 2011, where she became content editor, running the newsdesk operation.

She said: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to use the skills I have developed in newspapers within an exciting, evolving and diverse industry like PR. The team at Prominent are vibrant and exciting and I cannot wait to become a part of the bright future they have ahead of them.”
