Suffolk transport business, Magnus Group, is in line for a major sector award, thanks to an impressive year of contract success and customer satisfaction.
The Blakenham-based company, which was recently taken over by Olly Magnus, has been shortlisted in the Pall-Ex annual awards for the category of South East Regional Member of the Year.
Pall-Ex has a UK wide membership network of freight and logistics businesses, serving the needs of the global market.
Its annual awards event, which this year will be held at the De Vere Orchard Hotel in Nottingham on 1st February, typically attracts up to 400 people.
Awards are voted for by the organisation’s members, and it is the first time that Magnus has been recognised with a shortlisting.
“I’m so pleased for my entire team that Magnus has been acknowledged in this way,” said Olly.
“We’ve worked really hard over recent months to ensure that our customer service and our business delivery is first class and that we are a force to be reckoned with in the decade ahead.”
He added: “Having only taken over the helm from my father in the latter stage of 2019, it feels all the more special to know that we are commencing a new era with this shortlisting.
“I’m looking forward to attending the event and am pleased to be representing our region in this way.”
Formed in the 1970’s, Magnus Group has been providing warehousing, transportation and haulage for companies all over the UK and Europe.
It has a fleet of over 50 articulated vehicles and employs 120 staff.
