Recruiting new members of your team to meet expanding business needs during lockdown will have been a challenge for many companies over the last few months.
However, company secretarial and formation specialists Inform Direct, based in Ipswich, found innovative ways to help new recruits Emma Love and Callum Watson get up to speed with their roles and bond with their colleagues – whilst working from home.
As Customer Support Executive, Emma is responsible for handling customer queries regarding the software processes via live chat, telephone or email, including demonstrating its capabilities on shared screen training sessions. She joins after ten years spent in the insurance industry, most recently as a senior audit analyst.
Emma says: “This is a completely new industry for me but I am really enjoying building on my skills and working with our cloud-based software used by accountants.
“Joining in lockdown has been challenging at times but I quickly got used to training via video call, allowing me to take things at my own pace and being able to ask my patient team members any questions I needed. This enabled me to expand my knowledge of the software and company secretarial requirements so that I can provide the best possible support to our clients.”
Callum Watson is Business Development Executive with responsibility for generating new business, identifying and calling clients who may be interested in company secretarial software and building strong relationships with new users. He brings sales and customer service experience gained in a number of different sectors.
He says: “It has been strange starting a new role in these times as there is less social interaction offset to benefits of working from home. However thanks to technology I have been able to join my colleagues on video calls and received excellent training sessions from very supportive managers and directors. I’m looking forward to being able to attend trade shows next year so I can meet potential clients face to face.”
John Korchak, Operations Director added: “Our expanding portfolio of clients meant that we needed additional members of the team to support them and were delighted to welcome Emma and Callum to help us. We are really grateful for their flexibility in adapting to training during lockdown and also to our existing colleagues who have gone the extra mile to support them through these early days.
“Providing outstanding customer service is central to our company culture and we are proud that our commitment to this has been recognised with the Feefo Platinum accreditation.”
